Approve or change the outline
Check Pitchcrow's slide-by-slide plan for a new deck, and ask for changes before it builds.
Before Pitchcrow builds a new deck, it writes an outline. The outline covers the deck's story, its colors and fonts, the footer, and what goes on each slide.
Outlines are only for decks. When Pitchcrow builds a sheet or a model, it starts right away.
When Pitchcrow waits for you
- In a deck's chat, Pitchcrow writes the outline, sums it up in the chat, and asks you to approve it. It doesn't build any slides until you do. It also asks before a big change, like reordering the whole deck.
- In a Home chat, if your request already asks for the slides, Pitchcrow builds straight through. It sums up the outline when the deck is done. It stops to ask only when it can't tell who the deck is for, how long it should be, or what it should argue.
- Small edits, like "fix slide 5", skip the outline.
Read the outline
When the outline is done, the chat shows Outline ready. Inside a deck, click View outline next to it to open the full outline beside the chat.
You can also click Outline under the message box at any time. A dot on it means the outline changed since you last looked. To close the outline, press Esc or click Close outline.
Approve it or ask for changes
Reply in the chat:
- To approve, say so. "Looks good, build it."
- To change it, say what to change. "Cut the market section to two slides, and add a slide on the management team."
When Pitchcrow changes the outline, the chat shows Outline updated.
Good to know
- You can't type into the outline yourself. Ask Pitchcrow to change it.
- The Outline button only shows inside a deck that has an outline.
